Inspection and testing by someone qualified to do it — with a report you can actually read.
Landlords need a satisfactory EICR for every tenancy, renewed at least every five years. James holds the City & Guilds Level 3 award in Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification, so the inspection is done by the person qualified to sign it.
The report classifies what it finds and explains it in plain English — what passed, what needs attention, and how urgently. Repeat clients include letting agents who use JCES for inspections and the remedial work that follows.

James is honest and fair and a pleasure to work with. He is conscientious and does the job properly. Very professional and I would certainly recommend James and his team.

Attended first appointment as promised. Detailed discussions about best way to do the job we wanted. Attended on the day promised at the time promised. Official quotes and invoices sent. Cannot recommend enough - a tradesperson who keeps appointments, sticks to his word, helps and advises and does an amazing job. We'll definitely be using again and can heartily recommend him for any electrical work you need doing.

Questions
How often does a rental need an EICR?
At least every five years, or sooner if the report says so. A new tenancy needs a valid satisfactory report already in place.
What happens if the report is unsatisfactory?
Each issue is classified (C1, C2, C3 or FI) and you get a clear quote for the remedial work that the regulations actually require — no scare tactics.
How soon can you inspect?
Usually within days rather than weeks. Call or WhatsApp with the property size for a date and a price.
